We took a team of 54 students to these championships. The boys competed in all of the events from sprints through distance races to jumps and throws.

We had 24 placing’s across the events. These were:

Juniors Boys’

  • Toby Archer – 1st 100m and 200m
  • Philip Dolbel – 1st Discus
  • Jacob Murphy – 3rd Triple jump
  • Blake Harting – 3rd Javelin
  • Lochlan Collins – 2nd High Jump
  • Max Taylor – 3rd 3000m
  • Oliver Marshall – 2nd 3000m & 1500m
  • Caleb Turner – 1st 300m
  • Tremayn Anaru-Beattie – 2nd 100m & 2nd 200m,

Int Boys

  • Will Dixon – 3rd Triple jump
  • Hamish Rybinski – 2nd Triple Jump
  • Declan Renall – 1st Javelin
  • Zac Myhill – 2nd Discus
  • Casey Pay – 3rd 400m

Snr Boys

  • Bailey Lowther – 3rd Discus
  • Bradley Christison – 1st 1500m & 3000m
  • Kyle Cornelissen – 3rd 800m & 1500m
  • Jonas Beermann – 3rd 400m
  • Braeden Grant – 3rd 100m

The athletes who posted good times and distances were then put forward for the East Coast Team to compete at the North Island Championships in Auckland. The boys who selected for this team were:

Toby Archer, Oliver Marshall, Max Taylor, Lochlan Collins, Tremayn Anaru-Beattie and Bradley Christison.
