Community service is a significant aspect of the programme. Every Y10 core class participates in a community service project, supported by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council. 10HX and 10SU will undertake community service on Wednesday, 07 July, 1:10 – 3:10 pm. Permission slips have been sent home with the boys. The teacher responsible is Mrs K Taylor, Senior Master, ktaylor@nbhs.school.nz
End of Term 2
A reminder that Term 2 ends on Friday, 09 July. The school office will be closed over the holiday period.
Term 3 begins on Monday, 26 July.
Communication & Contact Details
It is critical that parents/caregivers notify the school of changes to their contact details – physical address, email and phone. Changes should be updated with the school office by emailing Mrs J Gourdie jgourdie@nbhs.school.nz
In the case of an emergency or for urgent updates we may use a text messaging / SMS service. Increasingly we use the School App to push out updates. This is useful for parents/caregivers and students. Download ‘SchoolAppsNZ’ and select Napier Boys’ High School.
Progress Report, July
Progress reports are generated twice a term. This report offers an overview of your son’s achievement and effort. The July progress report will be emailed to parents/caregivers in Week 10. Please make the time to talk through this report with your son, acknowledging the positives, work-ons and setting goals to collectively work toward.
KAMAR Parent Portal
A reminder that parents / caregivers can access results and school reports through the KAMAR Parent Portal. Log-in details were posted by mail at the start of the school year. If you have difficulty accessing the portal, please contact Mrs J Gourdie jgourdie@nbhs.school.nz
