Timetable

The external exam timetable can be found here.

The exam sessions start at either 9.30 am or 2.00 pm. Your son needs to be at the exam centre / C Block at least 20 minutes before the start of their exam.

Special Assessment Conditions (SAC)

If your son has been told that they are completing their exam under Special Assessment Conditions, he will need to meet at the exam centre / C Block no later than 20 minutes before the examination.

Digital examinations

If your son is completing the Level 3 English or Level 1 Home Economics examination, he will need to have his NCEA login information with him for the examination. If he wishes to use his own device, this device must have been checked at the school before the examination to make sure that the device meets the NZQA requirements. Finally, he should ensure that the device is fully charged.

Derived Grade

Students can apply for a derived grade when there are unavoidable circumstances that are outside the candidate’s control/responsibility. For example, a significant injury or condition, supported by a medical certificate. More information about the derived grade process can be found here.

COVID-19: if your son has cold/flu symptoms and there are concerns about them attending the exam they should take a COVID-19 test. The school will have some available at the exam centre. If they test negative, they should attend their examination.
