Week Ahead: Week 8 Term 1, Monday 18th March – Sunday 24th March
Year 10 Careers Expo: Inspiring Future Men
All Year 10 students participate in an onsite Careers Expo Tuesday 19th March. The theme and intent of the expo is ‘Inspiring Future Men’. Our young men will be exposed to a variety of industries, including the services, manufacturing and construction sectors. Initially, all students will attend a Q&A and ‘Guess Who’ approach. From here, they will be split into smaller groups, with the intention of “speed dates” with the various industry providers.
Uniform Shop Update
To assist parents with winter uniform requirements, families may email orders for winter tops and shorts to uniforms@nbhs.school.nz
In your email, please include student name, product, size and the quantity required. At the time of ordering, the related funds must be deposited into, or available in, your son’s school account. The school internet banking details are: 12 – 3144 – 0100100 – 00. As a reference, please use your son’s surname and the narration, “winter uniform”.
Prices are long-sleeve shirts $48, lined shorts $51, school socks $14, rugby jersey $80, playing socks $18. Sizes should be based on current uniform (XS, S, M, L, Xl etc). Any sizes that are incorrect can be swapped if the item is unworn or named.
Unfortunately, the senior grey trouser cannot be included in an email order. Your son must come into the shop to try these on.
Ordering via email is for a limited time, only. The uniform shop will not open during the April school holidays.
Awatoto Rd at SH51 closure and detour
The NZTA has asked us to remind our community, again, that the current closure of Awatoto Rd at State Highway 51 (SH51), and detour via Te Awa Ave and Waitangi Rd, is during the daytime between 8am and 4pm, only.
Each night, outside of these hours, the intersection closure is lifted, and access to turn from Awatoto Rd to SH51 (and vice versa) reinstated. At all times, through-traffic can still drive northbound and southbound along SH51.
Upcoming Events
Please take the time to look at this school newsletter, the ‘Week Ahead’. The Week Ahead outlines upcoming school activities. Urgent updates will be pushed-out via School Bridge.
