Phone-free School Expectation

Thank you for your support with the introduction of government policy related to mobile phones in schools. In short, the boys are not permitted to use their phone during school hours, including lunch and break times.

Generally, the attitude and compliance of the boys toward the new expectations has been outstanding.

Reader Writers for Diverse Learners

Each year we have numerous students who require additional support with their NCEA assessments. These students require readers who are able to help comprehend the content of their assessments and/or assist in the writing of their own verbal ideas into written assessments.

If you were able to volunteer some time to support these students, could you please email gbundle@nbhs.school.nz

Upcoming Events

Please take the time to look at this school newsletter, the ‘Week Ahead’. The Week Ahead outlines upcoming school activities. Urgent updates will be pushed-out via School Bridge.

We have moved to a digital school calendar. The school calendar can be accessed here: KAMAR  or

Year 11 students who have not yet achieved Level 1 Literacy or Numeracy have been entered for the upcoming Common Assessment Activities (CAA). The CAA will run in Week 4 and 5 of Term 2.
