Napier Boys High School Week Ahead

Week 11

Monday, 12 – Sunday, 18 April

‘Green Week’

Week 11 is a ‘green week’ with no external activities / field trips during the school day. Events occurring onsite include the Colours Assembly and ANZAC Service. The Colours Assembly acknowledges sporting and cultural excellence in the senior school through Term 1. The Colours Assembly is Monday, 12 April. The ANZAC Service is Tuesday, 13 April. The ANZAC service address will be given by old-boy, Commander Martin Walker, Commanding Officer of Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) ship HMNZS Canterbury.

Education Review Office (ERO)

ERO is charged with evaluating and reporting on the care of students in schools and school operation. Historically, this included an external review every 3 – 4 years. ERO has shifted its operation model, whereby it now looks to support schools in a process of continuous improvement. We begin this process on Tuesday, 13 April with a school visit.

Winter Uniform

A reminder that all students must be in winter uniform for the start of Term 2. Winter uniform includes the ‘new’ long-sleeve shirt. The Uniform Shop is open to students Tuesday 3:10 – 4:30 pm and Thursday 1:10 – 2:10 pm through to the end of term. The Uniform Shop will open the final Friday of the school holiday, Friday 30 April, 10:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Progress Report, April

Progress reports are generated twice a term. This report is a valuable overview of your son’s achievement and effort. The second progress report will be emailed to parents / caregivers on Monday, 12 April.

Parents / caregivers are able to access results and historical reports through the KAMAR Parent Portal. Log-in details were posted by mail at the start of the school year.
