Inter-House Swimming Sports
With the new House Shield on-the-line, swimming sports is the first inter-house competition of the school year, 
Inter-house swimming is Friday 21 February. The Y9/10 event runs through the morning. Seniors swim in the afternoon.
On this day we run a 2-1-2 timetable. Y9 & Y10 have class period 4 & 5. Seniors have timetabled lessons Pd 1 – 3.
Musical Audition
Auditions for the 2025 NBHS / NGHS Production, Footloose, are Tuesday 18 February from 3:00pm in the music room.
Involvement in any school production is a significant commitment, but also extremely rewarding and serious fun. We encourage your son to audition!
The production will run 16 -18 July at the Municipal Theatre.

Public Health Nurse – Updating Safety Plans
If your child has a serious medical condition such as an allergy that causes Anaphylaxis, Type 1 Diabetes or Epilepsy, this requires a “Safety Plan” at school. Please notify the school office as soon as possible. It is a parental responsibility to ensure that any medication required is current and that your child always carries both medication and action plan.
If your child has Asthma, please ensure that they have an asthma plan from their GP and that they bring their inhaler to school.

Parents League
NBHS Parents League invites you to join our meeting. This is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet, creating a wider NBHS community. All ideas welcome.
Being part of the NBHS Parents League is not an onerous commitment. Those involved can contribute as much or as little as they wish.
If you’d like to be involved please come along to the meeting on Tuesday 4th March at 6.30pm
BYOD / Loan Devices
Laptops are required for all students from Week 4.
Loan devices will be available from the Library in the morning before school between 8:15 – 8:30am, only.
We appreciate your support to ensure that your son is prepared for learning.
Careers
Ignite Drive is offering free driving lessons for selected NBHS students. This is a limited offer. Precedence is for “priority” students, thereafter it is by interest and application.
Lessons will begin Thursday 27 February during school hours. Selected students will be given this opportunity on a weekly basis.
When a participating student gains their Restricted, their space will be made available for other students on the application waiting list.

We will begin adding due dates for upcoming NCEA internal assessments in the Senior School, here. This will commence from the middle of Term 1.
