Inter-House Shield – Athletics Day
On the back of Scinde House dominating the swimming sports, our next inter-house competition is Athletics Day. Inter-house athletics is on Friday, 07 March. There are no timetabled classes on this day. Please assist us to ensure that your son is prepared by wearing house colours or PE uniform and a hat. They should bring a packed lunch, sunscreen and water bottle. We will provide sunscreen stations. For Athletics Day, your son can travel to / from school in their house colours.
Goal Setting Conference
Goal Setting Conferences, or Tutor / Whānau meetings, are Thursday 13 & Friday 14 March. This involves a three-way conference with the tutor teacher, student and parent/caregiver. Each conference is allocated a 15-minute time slot.
At this time, regular timetabled classes are not running. Your son is required at school for his conference, only.
Booking information will be emailed home in Week 6.

Progress Report
Your son’s initial progress report will be emailed at the end of Week 6. This report offers an overview of your son’s achievement and effort. We generate two reports a term. Please make the time to talk through this report with your son, acknowledging the positives and work-ons in preparation for the goal-setting conference in Week 7.

If your son is in Y13 they are encouraged to make an appointment with the Career Department. The Careers Department can provide support and guidance related to tertiary study, apprenticeships and employment opportunities. They can also assist with CV writing. Rangatahi Hauora Symposium
On Friday 07 March, we have the opportunity to send students to an interactive symposium related to various career pathways in the health sector. Spaces are limited. If your son has not registered and is interested they should contact Mrs Kettle lkettle@nbhs.school.nz
L1 Geography Fieldtrip
